"Ghosts in These Fields" is the epic song of The FOG.  General James Longstreet lays bare his soul as the seed of doubt grows exponentially in his mind.  In this song, he is torn and questions his loyalty  I play Longstreet on the album and I am very pleased to be able to present this particular song.  I am intimate with the lyric and I have long admired this man.
I'm playing my Taylor nylon string guitar on this one and am joined by Ted Harrison on bass, Tim O'Brien on fiddle, Julie Zickefoose on penny whistle, and by my great friend and band-mate, Bill White on piano.  There is tremendous musicianship throughout this album, of which I am very proud.  This song is a great demonstration of what the whole record has to offer.
