The path that I’ve been traveling
Brought me to this moment and this place;
And my perilous diversions
Have etched the scars of age across my face.

In searching for the answers, many times I found I’d lost my way;
And I realized my purpose and my place are simply not the same.

I see that you’re a traveler

And, though I don’t yet know you,

My prayer for you, my friend, is for peace to fill your spirit with good health.

Before tomorrow’s sun’s arising
Let’s put our animosities to bed;
And if there are words not worth hearing,
We’re better off to leave those words unsaid.

I’ll return the favor, while we savor this kindheartedness we’ve found.
